Nataliia, a refugee from Ukraine, first connected with Food and Education Enterprise (FEE) through our weekly food parcel service. From that initial contact, she gradually became involved in our wider support programmes—beginning with ESOL classes, then progressing to Maths lessons, the Warm Welcome initiative, and the Ukrainian Support project.
As her confidence and skills grew, Nataliia stepped forward to volunteer, playing a vital role in delivering community projects, including our Food-Share programme and weekly food share services. Her dedication and reliability quickly stood out. Recognising her potential, Nataliia took up a paid role as a cleaner. She embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly, and as she continued to flourish, she successfully secured a role as Admin Support Assistant within our office team.
Nataliia’s journey is a powerful example of personal growth, resilience, and empowerment—made possible through FEE’s holistic support and her own unwavering commitment. Her compassion and empathy for those facing hardship in Derby’s local communities are deeply moving and truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of Nataliia. She is a cherished member of our team and a shining example of how strength and kindness can transform lives.
