Welcome to FEE!
We're committed to supporting and empowering refugees, asylum seekers, and underserved communities in Derby.
About FEE
We're a nonprofit organisation driven by community activists, including refugees, dedicated to supporting disadvantaged local groups in Derby. We offer administration and translation services, food and clothing banks, learning workshops and community events.
Our vision
At FEE, our vision is clear: we aim to provide vital support and empowerment to the disadvantaged in Derby, with a primary focus on refugees and asylum seekers. As we secure more funding and resources, our vision expands to encompass all those in need of our services. We are driven by the commitment to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members.
Our goals
FEE creates a positive change by helping refugees, asylum seekers, and those in need in our community. We support both immediate and long-term needs, encourage integration, and strengthen community bonds. We achieve this through various community projects and have four main goals:
- Immediate Support: offering admin and translation services; food and clothing banks.
- Capacity Building: running community learning workshops, including English/ESOL classes and IT support.
- Official Documentation Support: providing Visa, British Citizen and Employment support services to refugees in Derby and the Midlands.
- Community Cohesion: facilitating social events, consultation, outreach and befriending activities.
Our support services help people make sense of things.
