Community Management
Volunteer
FEE was founded by the community for the community and thrives thanks to the dedication of volunteers, many of whom are refugees. They offer valuable support, from delivering food to those with mobility challenges to assisting in community learning workshops. If you have some time to spare, we welcome your help. It's a great opportunity to make new friends and assist those who rely on our services. If you're interested in volunteering, please visit our centre in person.

Our Projects
We have various ongoing projects to help refugees and asylum seekers become part of the local community. We want to do more in this area when we have enough money. In the future, we plan to offer cooking workshops, including Persian cooking. Currently, we get support from the Pfizer program, which helps us learn how to start a community catering business. This will allow us to introduce Persian food to the local community and make money for our longer-term plans.
We also hold weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ gatherings at our centre, where newcomers can meet people in the community and learn about our services. We also offer refugees and asylum seekers free SIM cards so that they can call friends and family at home, which is a vital lifeline.
